Hammons Convention Center in Rogers. The event was held to honor the sacrifice of community Sheep Dogs, such as military, police, fire and other emergency personnel, and recognized the hard work and success of SDIA members, volunteers and supporters. Over 325 sponsors and guests in attendance rose to the Scott Family’s challenge in giving more than $100,000, triggering a $100,000 matching gift from the Scott Family. The event featured a 24-volt race sponsored by McLarty Daniel, food and drinks from local vendors, and the “Hand of Man” sculpture experience by Christian Ristow. Honorary chair of the Ungala was Scott McCall, senior vice president, general merchandise manager, entertainment, toys and seasonal, Walmart Stores division. The Zing Cup champion was awarded to The Hershey Company and the Moxie award was presented to Nabholz Construction. All proceeds raised from the UnGala benefit the Amazeum for all initiatives providing access to unique, engaging learning experiences for children and families throughout Northwest Arkansas and increasing opportunities for diverse audiences to experience Amazeum exhibits and programs. www.amazeum.org
