Sequoyah in Fayetteville sits an oasis...a private retreat like no other in Northwest Arkansas. This beautiful home — that has seen children raised, parties thrown and charity benefits hosted — is surrounded by lush, meandering gardens that have been tended for decades. This secluded treasure is the home of Judy and Dr. Jay McDonald, Fayetteville citizens, generous regional philanthropists and all- around great people. A couple of years ago, I was fortunate to be part of the team charged with updating the older elements of the outdoor living spaces and enhancing the site overall. Now finished and ready for another few decades of gatherings for family and friends, this hidden haven is also the scene for this year’s Thrill of the Grill! Join us on the following pages as we are transported to this dreamlike setting to enjoy out-of-this-world dishes grilled on site by Chef Case Dighero, complemented by companion wines, spirits and a signature cocktail.
