We have all been proud of the rapid progress of Northwest Arkansas, and as this community continues to grow and thrive, UAMS will continue to play an important role for everyone here.” – Dick Trammel Dick Trammel’s fingerprints are all over Northwest Arkansas. Arriving in 1975 after being hired by Sam Walton, Dick has given decades of service to his community, paving roads both literally and figuratively. Now retired after 43 years with Arvest Bank, Dick has been an indelible fixture as one of Northwest Arkansas’ greatest cheerleaders, and he has brought the same infectious enthusiasm to his more than 20 years of volunteer service to UAMS and the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus. Dick and his wife Nancy are strong supporters of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, who helped extend Nancy’s mother’s life. Recently, they designated the Northwest Regional Campus as a beneficiary in their estate plans, continuing a legacy of service that will help generations to come. Dick Trammel
