WWW.CITISCAPES.COM | 37 Batteries Not Included Christmas is here – and with toys and presents under the tree comes the need for lots of batteries! “I often say, my three favorite words are ‘batteries not included.’ Those words are good for business,” Chris laughs. “However, those are dreaded words to read on a package on Christmas morning, unless you made sure you have batteries available. I not only have disappointed children if they can’t play with or use a gift because there are no batteries to power it, but also get ‘the look’ from Jenny that says ‘You work for Energizer, how do we not have batteries here?’” Chris also notes that batteries have a long shelf life, so there’s no reason not to stock up so you always have them on hand. Here are a few fun, energizing facts: The Energizer Bunny debuted — in full flip-flop and sunglasses glory — in a 1989 commercial where he drummed away, outlasting other toys. Celebrating his 20th birthday at the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in true Energizer Bunny fashion he escaped the parade route to “keep going and going…” and was later seen having a “hare” raising good time. The Energizer Bunny also made appearances in the Bentonville Christmas parade where Chris has worn the costume four times and his son, Jack, has worn it once. On Sept. 25, 2017, the Bunny was inducted into the Madison Avenue Walk of Fame and voted ‘most iconic mascot.’ ■ 479-242-1000 122N11TH Street,FortSmith,AR72901 3000N MarketAve.,SuiteA,Fayetteville,AR72703 211NSecondStreet,Rogers,AR72756 3000BrownsLane,Jonesboro,AR72401 5515JFKBoulevard,NorthLittleRock,AR72116 Car Accidents • Tractor Trailer Accidents • Pedestrian Accidents Motorcycle Accidents • Dog Bites • Construction & Industrial Accidents Fires & Explosions • Bankruptcy Claims • Social Security Disability Benefits inNorthwestArkansas&theRiverValley
